Enrolling for the 2025-2026 School Year
Lamar Christian School is a K4-12 Biblically based private school. We strive for academic excellence while offering a variety of extracurricular activities. Lamar Christian also offers dyslexia therapy services during school hours for our elementary students. Spring Break
Classes will not be held Monday, March 10-Friday, March 14, due to Spring Break. Classes will resume Monday, March 17.
Exam Schedule / Early Dismissal
The exam schedule for the 3rd nine weeks is attached. Please review the schedule for the 7th-12th grade students. Any exams given to the elementary students will be communicated by the teachers.
Please note the early dismissal days for all students during exam week.
Tuesday, March 4– Dismiss at 1:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 5-Dismiss at 1:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 6– Dismiss at 1:00 p.m.
Friday, March 7– Dismiss at 10:45 a.m.
Lady Lions win Class 3A Championship
Congratulations to the Lady Lions on winning the MAIS 3A State Championship! We also want to extend our congratulations to the Lions for their third place finish in the MAIS State Tournament.
New Head of School
Lamar Christian School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gareth Bonner as the new Head of School. Originally from Waynesboro, Mississippi, Mr. Bonner earned his bachelor’s degree from William Carey University and his master’s degree from Delta State University. He has over seventeen years of experience at Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg, where he served as a full-time classroom teacher from 2007 to 2018. In addition to his teaching role, he has held several administrative positions, including junior high dean, assistant principal, and Director of Student Leadership and Impact Programs, all while teaching part-time. Mr. Bonner, along with his wife Kimberly, resides in Petal and they have three children: Matthew, Vivian, and Annie Kate. He is excited to join and lead the community at Lamar Christian School.
2025-2026 ENROLLMENT
Priority Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is now open! Enrollment for the general public begins March 1, 2025. Please see the attached enrollment form, tuition and fee statement, and the payment plan information. Families may choose to pay the enrollment in full or four equal payments. We look forward to welcoming back each of you for the 2025-2026 school year!
